NUTRITION MANAGER- FT 40 HOURS

Job Summary
: Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Nutrition program. This position works closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure all guidelines from the Ohio Department of Aging, the Ohio Department of Health, and other regulatory bodies are followed. Provide customer service to clients and their families. Suggest changes to the social lunch sites to the Operations Director. Report observations and suggest how to optimize meal routes to the Operations Director. Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator to manage the fleet.

Core Technology Competencies: Demonstrated working knowledge of computer operations and standard office equipment (copiers, faxes, etc.) and must be able to utilize all Microsoft Office services.

Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend, and follow policies and procedures, and develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff. Must be able to perform all job responsibilities satisfactorily and meet the same job title's physical requirements. All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License and the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request).
 
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 
 

  • Two-year degree in human services, business management, or related field with a minimum of three years of experience, preferably in geriatrics, meal delivery, or home and community-based services.
  • Or Minimum of five years of experience, in geriatrics, meal delivery, or home and community-based services.
  • Ability to promote a positive work culture within the organization.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience with customer service.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills. 
Essential Duties: 
  •  Supervise social lunch site hosts and the nutrition coordinator.
  • Complete ongoing performance evaluations for supervised staff.
  • Model high-performance standards characterized by integrity, and to earn the trust and respect of others by coaching, inspiring, and empowering teams of people to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Schedule supervised staff.
  • Assist the Operations Director in hiring and training new staff.
  • Implement ongoing efficiency in all driver routes in collaboration with the Operations Director.
  • Complete and track daily well-checks on clients in collaboration with the nutrition coordinator.
  • Maintenance of computerized home delivery records and completion of monthly nutrition reports.
  • Maintenance of accurate home delivery and dining center meal counts to be applied to quarterly reports.
  • Complete weekly deposit.
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager with administrative duties, such as invoices, inventory, and menus.
  • Complete Passport documentation, billing, and compliance.
  • Create updated procedures as needed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as needed or as assigned.

SALARY RANGE:  $45,760-$65,894
