Adult Day Center (ADC) Manager- RN or LPN

Job Summary: The Adult Day Center (ADC) Manager will lead the Adult Day Center to support the mission  and vision of LCAP. Responsible for intake assessments, data collection, health screening and other routine basic health care for clients as assigned.  Responsible for nursing care and medication distribution as directed through physician's orders. Monitor client's reaction to medication and possible side effects. Monitor client's assistive equipment and chronic health problems. Application of first aid or CPR as necessary. Daily supervision and weekly scheduling of ADC staff. Provide training in health related areas for ADC staff and clients as assigned. Work with participants, families and  staff to maintain and improve client's health. Assist clients in functional activities and personal care needs based on client choice and IP objectives. Facilitate Physican Treatment Plan completion. Coordinate client's health needs with their family, place of residence, physician or any other health care agency. Restock supplies as needed.
Prepare reports and data tracking. Assist other staff and clients as needed. Maintain pertinent client medical records. Implement plans of correction as assigned. Help prepare center for surveys, audits and reviews as necessary.

Core Technology Competencies: Demonstrated working knowledge of computer operations and standard office equipment (copiers, faxes, etc.) and must be able to utilize all Microsoft Office services.  
 
General Requirements: Commitment and desire to provide excellent service to all clients and aging community members. Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend and follow policies and procedures and develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff.  Must be able to satisfactorily perform all job responsibilities and meet the physical requirements of that same job title. All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License, as well as the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request).
 
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • RN with valid Ohio license preferred or LPN with valid Ohio license required. 
  • CPR certification.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics.
  • Ability to promote a positive work culture within the organization; project a positive image of the organization in the community and to routinely interact with the public.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
Essential Duties:
  • Supervise the daily operations of the ADC and personnel working in the ADC.
  • Contribute to a team effort of creating and seeking new, diverse opportunities to meet the interest of aging individuals in Licking County. 
  • Cultivate productive relationships with other organizations and community resources.
  • Ensure the ADC is continuously adhering to regulations and rules governing the operations.
  • Ensure employees working in the ADC meet on-going education requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Work is performed primarily in the ADC where climate and noise levels vary. 
  • The physical demands of this position include frequent sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or carrying, talking, hearing, visual ability, and mental and emotional demands.
  • May be exposed to adverse climatic conditions both inside and in the outdoor environment.
  • This position is subject to pre-employment background and substance abuse testing.

SALARY RANGE:  $45,760-$65,894
