QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB GOAL: To work cooperatively with the district Nurse to provide services in the health related field.
REPORTS TO
EVALUATED BY: Building Principal/District Nurse
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Valid Ohio Educational Aide permit
- Must complete paraprofessional requirements
- Proper certification in First Aid and CPR
- Willing to participate in district in-service training
- Neat appearance
- Successfully complete and pass a BCII and FBI check
JOB GOAL: To work cooperatively with the district Nurse to provide services in the health related field.
REPORTS TO
EVALUATED BY: Building Principal/District Nurse
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all approved school and building policies and procedures.
- Participate in on-going health related in-service training programs.
- Assist school Nurse with screenings.
- Administer basic first aid to injured or ill students.
- Communicate effectively with building administrators, nurse, staff and parents.
- Administer medication to students and accurately record and maintain records.
- Maintain confidentiality of students.
- Greet and offer directions to visitors.
- Help maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with student hygiene as needed.
- Any other duties assigned by the Nurse or building Principal.
- Remainder of the 2025-2026 School Year
- 5.5 hours/day – 27.5 hours/week
- 187 contract days
- Salary as per negotiated agreement (LACE)
