The Licking County Humane Society seeks to improve the lives of animals and people through advocacy, education, and support. LCHS operates a managed-intake shelter, providing care to homeless, abused and neglected animals. LCHS provides a pet food pantry to low-income pet owners, coordinates low cost spay/neuter/vaccine services to the public, investigates cruelty cases, delivers dog obedience classes, and provided 1500 pets with adoption in 2016. We provide other outreach services including helping Meals on Wheels seniors with pet food.
