The League of Women Voters was reborn in Licking County in 2017 after a long lapse and is a local chapter of The League of Women Voters of the United States and the League of Women Voters of Ohio. The League at all levels is a nonpartisan political organization. It aims to increase engagement in politics and government through voter education but it does not promote a political party and never endorses candidates. Using the Vote411.org website, the League publishes voter guides online. It hosts or moderates candidate nights as well as forums on issues. The League provides voter registration and voter services at high schools, campuses, and public events. It organizes educational events, always open to the public, that promote good government or explore issues and concerns.
