Maintenance Technician

THK Manufacturing of America is currently looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by performing corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. You’ll play a key role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment for all.
2nd Shift 3pm - 11pm
3rd Shift 11pm-7a
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on production and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues using tools, drawings, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Safely remove, transport, and reinstall machine parts using hoists, forklifts, or dollies.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and equipment condition.
  • Operate machine tools and welding equipment to fabricate or modify parts as needed.
  • Use measurement and inspection tools to ensure accuracy during repairs.
  • Investigate root causes of equipment breakdowns and implement solutions to reduce recurrence.
  • Recommend and support equipment upgrades and improvements to enhance performance.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime
  • Document maintenance activities and communicate status during shift changes.
  • Provide training or support to other team members as directed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Multi-craft certification 
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining and repairing industrial equipment.
  • Hands-on knowledge of automated machinery, PLCs, motors, pumps, conveyors, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Familiar with lockout/tagout, compressed air systems, and quality control procedures.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting and basic programming
  • Robotics and automation knowledge
  • Welding and machining experience
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
  • May require occasional overtime, weekends, or shift work depending on production needs.
