Job Description

 
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
 
Additional Qualifications (Agency/Dept. Qualifications):
Ability to be covered under the county fleet vehicle liability insurance policy.
Ability to read and understand SDS (Safety Data Sheets).
Advanced knowledge of HVAC, Electrical & Plumbing building codes.
 
Hours:          Core Business Hours:  7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (scheduled 8 hrs/day), other hours as necessary
Salary:         $18.00 - $20 / hour
 
Summary:
Performs preventative and service maintenance in a specialized trade such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
 
Duties:        
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
  • Promotes and maintains positive and effective working relationships and promotes good public relationships as a representative of Licking County Government.
  • Applies building codes and specializes in at least one of the following trades:  HVAC, electrical, and plumbing assignments.
  • Estimates material usage and cost for assigned projects.
  • Provides information and technical guidance to employees assigned to specialized trade projects. Works independently on projects within the trade. 
  • Performs Maintenance Worker II duties as needed.
  • Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures
  • Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties;  may be required to attend seminars/training.
