QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent.
- A documented knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electricity and HVAC systems and other basic building systems.
- Good human relations with the ability to communicate in a courteous manner.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- A neat appearance.
- Successfully complete and pass a BCII and FBI check.
JOB GOAL: To assist the Director of Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor with maintaining the physical school plant in a condition of operating efficiently and effectively.
REPORTS TO/EVALUATED BY: Director of Maintenance and Facilities / Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform needed carpentry, electrical, masonry and plumbing along with general maintenance and repairs.
- Perform HVAC repairs and maintenance as requested.
- Assist with seasonal jobs such as mowing grass and snow removal.
- Assist the Director of Maintenance & Facilities in the continual examination of district owned facilities for the purpose of corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Assist in the general overall appearance of the district and their facilities to resemble a well maintained system.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance & Facilities.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 8 hours daily excluding lunch break
- 260 day contract
- Start date – July 20, 2026
- Salary as per negotiated agreement (LACE)
