Job Description
Position Purpose
The Information Technology Associate (IT Associate) position at First Federal Savings is a key support position to the technology and information security functions of the Association. The IT Associate works closely with the Assistant Vice President, Information Technology and all departments and offices of the bank to ensure that First Federal’s technology infrastructure is strong, up to date, and adequately protects customer and employee data.

Reporting Relationships
The IT Associate of First Federal Savings reports to the AVP, Information Technology, who reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations. This position does not have direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
The IT Associate is expected to meet the expectations outlined below.

Employee Support
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
• Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
• Must have a good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution
• Must be very customer-oriented and patient
• Administer the Association’s Exchange Email Server, training all employees on the functions of Microsoft Outlook, as needed.

Hardware Management
• Assist in managing and updating the Association’s Network, including maintaining a schedule to ensure network virus scans are current, file servers are updated, individual PC virus scans are current, and all Microsoft patches and Windows updates are current.
• Ensure all new users on the Network are given appropriate access and relocate users to and from branch locations as needed.
• Perform, assist, and partner with the AVP, IT on general purchasing, installation and maintenance of hardware equipment, including the Association’s printers, file servers, individual PCs, communications equipment, and software.

Software Maintenance
• Install and assist with the implementation and training of new software applications
• Act as a back-up for administration functions within the Association’s teller platform software, including assigning and maintain new teller IDs and implementing software upgrades.
• Perform back-up administration duties within the Association’s loan origination software, including assigning new users and privileges, and implementing software upgrades.
• Implement Group Policy, periodically reviewing it to ensure the policy does not conflict with teller and lender platforms.

Project Management and Administration
• Develop and assist in writing procedures for installation and use of new equipment, new sites, and changes to existing computer configuration.
• Document common IT issues with solutions in order to assist other members of the IT Team in addressing those issues moving forward.
• Serve on the Association’s Information Security committee.
• Serve as a backup on various teams, including the Business Continuity committee and the Incident Response committee.

Locations & Hours
The Operations Center of First Federal Savings is located at 2 North Second Street in Newark. First Federal also has offices on 21st Street in Newark, Heath, Pataskala, Gahanna, and Granville. Retail hours are generally 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

The IT Associate should expect to work variable and flexible hours, including support on Saturdays and Sundays and in evenings off site.

Key Qualifications, Competencies, and Attributes
• High school diploma, required
• 1-3 years experience, preferred
• Technical expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server 2012, Group Policy, Nessus, GFI Languard, and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
