Classified Position - SECRETARY
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A good working knowledge of all office equipment and office operations.
- Strong organizational, communications and computer skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Can complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Strong knowledge of DASL/SIS/EMIS.
- Successfully complete and pass a BCII and FBI check.
JOB GOAL: To assist in the effective and efficient operation of the building office
REPORTS TO/EVALUATED BY: Building Principal or designee
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and efficiently operated office.
- Maintains student/business records as assigned.
- Receives and routes incoming telephone calls, mail and maintains messages.
- Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments and directs them to the proper person.
- Efficiently process all letters, reports, memos, etc. as needed.
- Order and maintain supplies for the building.
- Assist students and staff with problems or concerns when appropriate.
- Gather, input, submit and maintain state required EMIS information/data following state guidelines.
- Work with District EMIS Coordinator to ensure data is accurate.
- Attend workshops and conferences as required.
- Follow complex instructions and recognizes/corrects errors independently.
- Keep administration aware of work progress and pending deadlines.
- Process student records and other paperwork as assigned.
- All reasonable and related duties as assigned by the building Principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 211 Day Contract
- Remainder of the 2025-2026 School Year
- Salary and benefits per LACE negotiated agreement.
