Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow process guidelines to service new and existing policies
  • Responsible for working primarily with agency partners and occasionally customers and 3rd party vendors by communicating outstanding requirement of documents or forms
  • Identifies, researches, and responds to questions/issues related to life insurance policies
  • Uses multiple applications to gather the necessary information and notify business partners regarding status, inquiries and claim reporting
  • Successfully completes Life/Health Response Center training
  • Develops knowledge of State Farm and the department's workflow, procedures, and products
  • Develops knowledge of required systems and tools utilized
  • Provides application and policy status, life claims status, services beneficiary maintenance and answers lower complex billing and policy questions
  • Identifies form requirements, medical requirements, assists with new business/change of plan processes and policy maintenance
  • Identifies need to escalate for specialized activity

The Life/Health Response Center is an inbound response center.  We provide first contact resolution to our agency force and policyholders on all Life policy related Claims, Service, and Underwriting functions.  Our centers are open cubicle environments and each desk is ergonomically designed and allows for employees to sit or stand while working.  Each desk is equipped with a computer and telephone and on average our reps take 50 to100 calls per day depending upon their experience level.  

Career progression and possibility of promotion within the Life/Health Response Center dictated by business need and performance.  

This position is subject to Telephone Monitoring and/or Recording for quality assurance and training purposes.  Candidates must be available for training and work during the following hours: Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 6:30 PM (EST) and Saturday from 8:45 AM to 12:15 PM (EST). 

Salary: $14.25/hour
Anticipated Start Date: January 14, 2019

The New Albany Operations Center is located at 5400 New Albany Rd, New Albany, OH 43054-8861.
